ALBINA K. NOVOSELAC
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chisholm, with Rev. Fr. Frank Perkovich celebrating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the mass at the church on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Chisholm Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.
Albina K. Novoselac, age 86, of Chisholm, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm. She was born March 2, 1923 in Chisholm to Joseph and Domenica (Cesari) Micheletto. She was a 1941 graduate of Chisholm High School and had been a lifelong Chisholm resident.
Albina was united in marriage on June 15, 1946 in Chisholm to Henry A. Novoselac. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Albina was the youngest and only child born in America. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching her family eating it. She and her husband owned and operated the former J & H Café in Chisholm, now known as “Choppy’s”.
Survivors include her children – Dick of Chisholm; Mike (Karen) of Kelsey; Patti (Shayne) Hanson of Bloomington; James of Chisholm; 3 granddaughters – Nikki, Tami & Nancy Pechonick; numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Henry A. “Hank” on 12/23/94 and by a grandson Michael James Novoselac and also by a brother and 3 sisters.
