A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chisholm, with Rev. Fr. Frank Perkovich celebrating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the mass at the church on Thursday. Inurnment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing at a later date.
Ann M. Techar, age 91, of Chisholm, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Heritage Manor Health Care Center in Chisholm. She was born December 9, 1921 in Aurora to Frank and Maria (Marincel) Tomsich. She was a graduate of Chisholm High School and had been a longtime Chisholm resident.
Ann was united in marriage on December 28, 1942 in Chisholm to Rudolph J. Techar. She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Frank Heck's Dental Office in Chisholm.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chisholm and the Catholic Order of Forresters, SNPJ, SWU, Slav club #9 and the Ladies Auxiliary Johnson-Messner-Roche VFW Post #1221-Hibbing. Ann was actively enjoyed bowling, cross country skiing, volley ball, card club, baking and spending summers at the lake.
Survivors include her husband – Rudolph, sons, James (Carol) of Mt. Iron and Thomas (Mary Sue) of Side Lake, two grandchildren, Ty (Jolyn), Amy (Mark) Hultman, two great-grandchildren, Brighton and Brendan Techar, one sister, Frances Baldrica of Boise Idaho . She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mayme Gasvoda.
